Wildwych Gizmo is now three and beginning his schooling under saddle with our resident trainer John Robertson. Gizmo has been working for three weeks, with most of that is on the trail with dressage in the cow pasture!
By the time he leaves here,
Gizmo will have seen just about everything there is to see at least
once.
Now that he's under saddle,
Giz is developing better gaits than I'd seen in him as a youngster playing
in the pasture. His walk and trot are especially eloquent, with his canter
being clean and strong. Giz is built powerfully uphill, with a strong
body. He's currently just under 14.2 H but takes up a lot of leg. John
is 5'11'' and looks great on him.
Gizmo is showing promise as a serious competition pony. John hopes I won't sell him, as Gizmo is his choice of the resident ponies as an eventer. Gizmo is offered to a performance or pony club home.
