2001 Bay Stallion
(Castle Baron x Glenormiston Ballycara)

*Glenormiston Billies Bay is the new young stallion at Wildwych Connemaras. Bred by Susan Clarke of Glenormiston Stud in Brisbane, Australia and imported as a weanling, Billie was chosen as a compliment to Flurry, our Wildwych mares, Flurry's daughters, and the other mares in Colorado.

So far, Billie has been everything we'd hoped for. Expected to mature at about 14H, he brings new bloodlines to the United States.

From his illustrious sire, Castle Baron (Abbeyleix Owen X Castle Dame), Billie has inherited 8.75 inch bone and terrific presence, substance, and type. Castle Baron also passed on his quiet, kind, and trainable personality.

Billie's dam Glenormiston Ballycara is a beautiful young homebred mare at Glenormiston Stud.  Her sire Domo Cavallo Praize is the most successful performance Connemara in Australia and has gotten many super breeding and performance offspring.  Ballycara's includes in her mare line the rarely-seen Snowball.

Billie will begin driving training this spring while we await his first two foals in late 2004.  They will be out of *Glenormiston Amelia and Wildwych Hazel.

Flurry was the first stallion at Wildwych to prove that Connemaras can have it all. We're so grateful that Billie seems to be following in those difficult-to-fill hoofprints.
